MEEHAN JUVENILE ``THE BEST IN EUROPE``

Brian Meehan today proclaimed Bad As I Wanna Be 'the best two-year-old in Europe' after his Group One romp in France.

But he refused to be rushed into nominating a new target for the colt, who ran away with the Prix Morny at Deauville.

The juvenile has returned to his Lambourn stable after an impressive six-length defeat of previously unbeaten Richmond Stakes winner Endless Summer under Gerald Mosse on Sunday.

And his trainer said: 'Everything is fine with him.

'As for his next race, I spoke to the owner last night and we will mull it over for a few days.

'There is the Middle Park and the Prix de la Salamandre - we wouldn`t mind going back to France - and it will be something like that.

'I was very pleased yesterday and he must be the best two-year-old in Europe.'

Meehan would not be afraid to try the colt over further than Sunday`s six-furlong trip in order to tackle the very best juvenile races in the autumn.

'He is a very straightforward horse and seven furlongs would not worry me as he settles and relaxes,' the trainer said.

'We`ll wait and see about races like the Dewhurst and the Breeders` Cup.'

Stable-companion Tumbleweed Ridge is reported none the worse after losing his action and being pulled up in the Hungerford Stakes at Newbury last Friday.

'He`s fine,' Meehan said. 'He`s done that once or twice before but he`s sound and well now.'
